Opening Organ Recital

OPENING ORGAN RECITAL


On Saturday 4th June at 7.30pm, Professor Ian Tracey, Organist Titulaire of Liverpool Cathedral will give the opening organ recital on the recently installed Makin Organ at Holy Trinity Church, Hoghton Street, Southport. He will play works by composers including Gigout, J. S. Bach, Schumann, Bossi, Franck, Howells, Whitlock and Mulet. Admission is £5 which includes a glass of bubbly! The installation of the organ was made possible through a £50K grant from the John Pilling Trust and other generous benefactors.
Ian Wells Director of Music at Holy Trinity said, “This is a marvellous opportunity to hear Ian Tracey who is one of the finest organists in the country. He is playing a fantastic programme which is sure to put the new organ through its paces. We are looking forward to a fantastic evening”

NORTH WEST AREA RSCM FESTIVAL - METROPOLITAN CATHEDRAL OF CHRIST THE KING, LIVERPOOL, 7th MAY 5.00pm

The choir are taking part in the North West Area RSCM Festival on Saturday 7th May in the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King, Liverpool at 5.00pm. They will be joining with other choirs to perform:-
