The Southport Bach Choir’s next concert in its 47th season is next Saturday 17th March, and is a concert of Music for Easter. The programme is Poulenc’s rarely heard Stabat Mater and J. S. Bach’s Easter Oratorio. There will also be a performance of John Rutter’s Organ Duet, Variations on an Easter Theme, which will be played by Ian Tracey and Ian Wells. The soloists will be Sasha Johnson-Manning (Soprano) Heather Barrett (Contralto), Tim Kennedy (Tenor) and John Powell (Bass).The concert will be accompanied on the organ by Ian Tracey and James Speakman on piano and harpsichord. The concert will be conducted by Ian Wells.
