We both enjoyed the " cathedral " standard performance of Stainers masterpiece last night.

A wonderful piece of crafted brilliance from a true master who ,sadly,in this epoch, is not given the recognition due to him.

Whilst so much music penned at this time is somewhat mawkish and sentimental in form this cannot be said of " The Crucifixion ".

The whole performance was superbly directed and performed with a gravitas and decorum rarely experienced outside those establishments which still embrace the " High Church Tradition " ( if one is still permitted to use the phrase! )

We are indeed fortunate to have such a plethora of talent on our doorstep here in Southport. We are both looking forward to attending more such spiritually uplifting occasions at HT.

It was more than a cathedral performance!!
I have always thought of Trinity as the cathedral of the town, however that performance was beyond that.
Through Jesus Christ we discover our voice to spread the word of God.
Me singing voice is a bit broken but I'll still sing until my voice breaks!
